Location: Lower New River
Join us for an exhilarating ride on the Lower New River, America’s oldest river canyon, known as the Grand Canyon of the East. This whitewater rafting trip will offer the perfect blend of relaxation and exhilarations. Both beginner and expert rafters will enjoy the magnificent canyon scenery, encounters with wildlife, along with experiencing rapids that are both easy and exciting. There will also be plenty of opportunities to casually “float” down the river and experience the beauty of God’s creation. If you have never been rafting before, or you have rafted many times, you will be thrilled by this trip.
We will leave early Monday morning and arrive at the Ace Adventure Resort. Upon checking in, we will take advantage of the Ace Adventure Lake. Here, you will be entertained by the numerous waterpark toys and activities that are located in the spring fed, 5 acre lake. Whether, it’s sliding down the 40’ tall Wet Willie Waterslide, zipping down the two Tower zip-lines or climbing on one of the numerous climbing walls or trampolines, there is something here for everyone. We will then enjoy a fellowship dinner around the campfire as we share and prepare for the next day’s big adventure. Lodging will be in Bath/Bunk houses, which sleep 12 campers on bunk beds and feature electricity, fans, campfire area and a bathroom/shower. Additional showers and restrooms are located nearby as well. We will get on the river early Tuesday morning and eat lunch on the river, before finishing our ride at the New River Bridge. After showering and changing, we will make the journey back to EBC arriving late Tuesday night.
